Buccaneer Garden Camping cabins are located on a secure gated three acres of beautiful Puna Hawaii property. Centrally located in the Puna district within 20 miles of Volcanoes National Park, or Hilo, or just about anywhere you would want to go in the Hilo, Puna, Kau districts of the Big Island, Hawaii.
Buccaneer Garden is an off grid experiment in self sustainable farming. We grow palms and are setting up a self sustainable aqua-ponics system using tilapia fish.
Guests and day pass visitors can catch and release fresh tilapia from the pond for free. If you catch a big one you can purchase it for $5.00
Our Camping Tent Cabins are 18' x 20' and can sleep up to 4 persons.
Cabins include a parking space, sleeping decks, Futons or air mattresses, pillows, linen and sleeping bags are provided for our cabin guests. Clean bathroom and hot showers are available to our camping guests. Each cabin gets a shelf in one of the shared refrigerators located in the pond side picnic pavilion. Propane barbeques are also available in the picnic pavilion.

Pitch your tent camping is $15.00 a night for each person!
Trade work for rent opportunities
Rates for a Single Occupancy camping tent cabin is $25.00 a night. Price includes all applicable taxes.
Rates for a Double Occupancy camping tent cabin is $35.00 a night. Add $15.00 a night for each additional person. Prices includes all applicable taxes.
Guests must check out by 11:30 am of their check out day, or be charged for another night!

Walk Ins are welcome although, A reservation will secure a cabin or camp site.

Location : Hawaiian Acres, Uhini Ana Rd. (Road 1) Directions We are about 20 miles from Hilo airport. And we are about 126 miles from Kona Airport. We do not offer to and from airport shuttle services. Here are some other options including car rental contacts.
Our pond side picnic pavilion has a shared refrigerator for cabin guests, and propane barbeques , double stainless steel sink, and charcoal barbeques. pots, pans, dishes, can opener, silverware, ect. Happy hour blues revue, or whatever, we have an Ipod friendly sound system and sometimes a big screen TV.
Highspeed internet wi-fi from HughesNet is available.
Methods of payment: Cash (US Currency), Master Card, Visa, or discover card.
There is a convenient store 5 miles away from us in Mt. View and 2 more 8 miles away from us in Kurtistown. Kea'au town and Pahoa are about 9 miles from us, Kea'au Town has a Foodland Super market, eateries, Ace hardware, farmers market, ect.
We have made some picture tour's of places that we like to hang out, on our side of the Big Island, Hawaii. Featuring Hilo, Puna, Volcano
Guests and visitors can also use the paintball target shooting gauntlet /Battle field on the back acre! We rent paintball guns to our guests or visitors for $5.00 an hr. (Tactical M-16 replica). Air is $2.00 for each 1000. psi of air, paintballs are $3.00 for 100 paintballs or $15.00 for 500 paintballs. Guests and day pass visitors are welcome to bring there own paint ball markers and paint balls.
All Day Play Pass
Visitors may purchase an all day play pass for $5.00. per person. An all day play pass permits visitors to have access to Buccaneer Garden picnic pavilion, fishing pond, and paintball target gauntlet. An all day play pass is good from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm. Day pass visitors must make a reservation. (No Walk Ins)
(Camping & Cabin guests are not required to purchase a day pass to play all day & night.)
